Please continue to stay well and safe by following the Government advice.
In order to protect patients and staff we have implemented a strict CLOSED DOOR POLICY during this national emergency.
Whilst the surgery will remain operational during normal opening hours all urgent appointments will be telephone or video appointments. Patients will be asked to attend if an examination is deemed necessary. Our nurse will carry out childhood vaccinations, smear tests, wound care or other essential nursing procedures after telephone screening for covid-19.
We encourage you to order repeat prescriptions via on-line access or by email. If you have no other option, we will allow you to make requests over the telephone. Please try to avoid bringing paper requests to the surgery in order to reduce your need to leave home. the vast majority of prescriptions will be sent electronically to a pharmacist of your choice.
we would urge you to use the practice website and NHS UK website for self care and use the NHS 111 for coronavirus related questions
If you are unwell with a sore throat fever, cough or loss of smell or you believe that you may be exposed to somebody who has coronavirus---PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY OR ATTEND THE SURGERY-- YOU MUST STAY AT HOME AND SELF-ISOLATE. You can also contact 111 ONLINE for further initial advice including for covid-19 tests. We urge you to get tested.
THE SURGERY CANNOT EXAMINE OR TREAT YOU AND YOU RISK INFECTING OTHER PATIENTS OR STAFF. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO STAY AT HOME TO AVOID SPREADING THE INFECTION AND CALL/CONTACT 111 WHO WILL Guide with any treatment.
If you need to be examined for any respiratory symptoms the surgey may refer you to hospital or a local Hot Hub clinic.
If you are self isolating as per Government advice you do not need a medical certificate. If your employer asks you for one please DOWNLOAD this letter which explains the situation to your employer. You can fill out the dates and reason for not attending work.
